REACH Statement

REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and restriction of CHemicals) is viewed as today's biggest regulatory change for the European chemical industry, as over 100,000 existing substances have to be registered with the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) in Helsinki by companies who manufacture or import them in quantities of one ton/year or more.

REACH (Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006) became effective on 1 June 2007. The registration process for existing substances should be completed with phased-in deadlines in 2010, 2013 and 2018, depending on the amounts and the hazard risk of the substance. In order to benefit from the phased-in deadlines, all substances must have been pre-registered by 1 December 2008 with the European Chemicals Agency in Helsinki.

REACH applies not only to producers and importers, but to all companies that work in any way with substances, preparations or substances incorporated into products. Every company should know the risks of these substances and should master the risks of working with chemicals.

Human health and the protection of the environment are of paramount importance to INCOTEC and therefore we fully support and follow the objectives of the REACH regulation.
We work closely with all our suppliers to fulfil the requirements of REACH and our customers can be ensured that all the substances we use today or will use in the near future have been (pre-)registered under REACH.
